ReCREATE provides a lively and interactive hour-long classroom program that includes an educational presentation as well as art project from “Rolling reCREATE”, where the reCREATE team brings the field-trip to your school - arriving in an oversized truck, built out as an art-mobile and filled with art supplies.

The presentation will include a discussion designed to increase the students’ awareness of solid waste issues, the importance of waste reduction and reuse, and how recycling happens in our region.

The art project includes a trip to the reCREATE art-mobile to gather materials that are commonly tossed in the trash. Students are taught to see how these items can be reused and end the session with a unique works of art that is theirs to keep.

This program meets California state education standards for art, science and social studies.

We can accommodate four classes per day at a school. To minimize the environmental impact of driving the vehicle to your location, a minimum of three and maximum of four classes should be reserved for the same day.
