Mary Stewart Adams has been immersed in the history of star knowledge and its attendant lore for nearly 30 years. As winner of the 2006 Gary R Williams Award for Dark Sky Advocate of the Year, she is the leader of an initiative to create an international dark sky park on public lands near her Northern Michigan home. Mary also publishes the annual wall calendar Fairy Tale Moons with the mission to safeguard the imagination by protecting access to the night sky and its stories.
