Renee Davis MA is a practicing herbalist interested in advancing herbal medicine for the improvement of clinical treatment strategies and healthcare access. She is the owner of Goldroot Botanical Medicine & Consulting, providing herbal consultations and dispensary services to the Olympia community, and botanical research services to clinicians and authors. She is also a clinical herbalist and board chair at the Olympia Free Herbal Clinic and an appointed Associate Scholar with the Center for World Indigenous Studies. Her recent graduate thesis investigated the use of cultural plants education in healing generational trauma in Salish tribal communities. She has degrees in environmental anthropology and Whole Systems Design and is currently stationed at a medicinal mushroom company in Washington state. She’s studied & learned from some of the best, including Joyce Netishen, Jonathan Treasure, Elise Krohn, 7Song, and Aviva Romm. Her interests include herb-drug interactions, medicinal mushrooms, immune health, and–more broadly–functional medicine, public health, and medical anthropology.
