The California Shakespeare Theater (Cal Shakes) Costume Shop rents costumes costumes to professionals, schools, and individuals. Priority for costume use is given first to the Cal Shakes' Mainstage productions rental availability may be limited during the Mainstage season (May through September).

Appointments are required for both pulling costumes and for return of costumes. If you would like to request an appointment that is less than 72 hours out, please email the Costume Rentals Manager at jdunlap@calshakes.org. Appointments requested less than 72 hours in advance cannot be guaranteed.

If you are making an appointment for an Artistic Learning Residency, please be sure to select the AL specific service when booking your appointment.

Please note that we are currently implementing a barcode system for our stock and logging all pieces as they are checked out into a database. All non-AL related rentals will have a minimum of a 24 hour turn around dependent upon number of pieces pulled. Turn around could be as much as 72 hours.
