American Servicemen and women face tremendous challenges finding work when their service to our Nation ends, particularly in a challenging job market. Today I'm on a mission conducting a National Search for transitioning military servicemembers seeking employment in the hospitality industry connecting and reaching out to thousands of Vets through Operation: Opportunity--Hilton's continuing commitment to transitioning service members, military veterans, and military spouses find purpose in civilian life through a long and fruitful career serving others in hospitality.
The travel and tourism industry are predicted to add 1.3 million jobs by 2020 and veterans possess the unique skills necessary for success in the hospitality sector--like empathy, communication, ability to work under pressure, self-confidence, cultural and generational awareness, team leadership, decision-making, and problem resolution.
